The 2015-16 season started with Pominville having a career worst goal drought consisting of 21 games, although he did have 10 assists during the span. He played mostly on a line with Mikael Granlund and Zach Parise while finishing the regular season with 11 goals, 25 assists and 36 points in 75 games. On a positive note, although losing in the first round of the playoffs against the Dallas Stars in 6 games, he led the team with 4 goals and 7 points.

In 2007/08 Jason Pominville teamed up mostly with Jochen Hecht, Tim Connolly or Clarke MacArthur while 5-on-5, and he scored career highs in assists with 53 and points with 80. He was a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy that summer. Becouse the Buffalo Sabres missed the playoffs he accepted an invite from Team USA to come play with them in the World Championships in Halifax and Quebec City. This was possible becouse Jasons mother of course is american. The team had a so-so tournament overall and went out against Team Finland in the quarters finishing 6th. Pommer had 2+3 in 7 games.

Now this is a true beauty. The Sabres started the regular season in Europe first with one game against the Anaheim Ducks in Helsinki, Finland on October 7th and then a quick flight on to Berlin, Germany the day after where the Los Angeles Kings waited. Pominville scored a goal and three assists as the Sabres swept the mini-tour.

The lockout shortened 2012/13 season saw Pominville start out the season for german team Mannheim Eagles, lured there by Jochen Hecht and longtime friend Yanick Lehoux. After scoring 5+7 in 7 games the lockout ended and he came back to Buffalo ready to build on his 2011/12 NHL All-Star campaign. After scoring 10+15 in the first 37 games he found himself traded to the Minnesota Wild where he finished the regular season with 9 points in 10 games. He was voted 8th for the Lady Byng Trophy and 31th for the Selke Trophy that summer, after unfortunately missing all but two of his teams playoff games due to injury.
This card here is really the perfect one for his 2012/13 season. While pictured in the Minnesota Wild colors, the piece of game-used letter in the card is from his 2005/06 rookie season playing for the team he this season got traded from.

Now this card i do like real much. Not becouse it’s very rare and flashy, but becouse it’s the only auto of Pominville dressed in Rochester Americans gear. A few years ago a thought hit me regarding some fans critique about his choice to play for the USA internationally: Not only is his mother obviously american which is the technical reason that it was even possible, but also i cant help but wonder if his 3+ years playing in Rochesters highly American uniforms had something to do with it as well. It was after all there he fought for so long to make his dream of making the NHL come true. I can see it being the case, and as he himself once said, he feels like both Canadian and American.
This card is from the 2005/06 season when he scored 19 goals in the first 18 games of the AHL schedule, after which he was promoted to the Sabres for good.
