The lockout shortened 2012/13 season saw Pominville start out the season for german team Mannheim Eagles, lured there by Jochen Hecht and longtime friend Yanick Lehoux. After scoring 5+7 in 7 games the lockout ended and he came back to Buffalo ready to build on his 2011/12 NHL All-Star campaign. After scoring 10+15 in the first 37 games he found himself traded to the Minnesota Wild where he finished the regular season with 9 points in 10 games. He was voted 8th for the Lady Byng Trophy and 31th for the Selke Trophy that summer, after unfortunately missing all but two of his teams playoff games due to injury.

This card here is really the perfect one for his 2012/13 season. While pictured in the Minnesota Wild colors, the piece of game-used letter in the card is from his 2005/06 rookie season playing for the team he this season got traded from.
